@Brad: For the last 8+ years, I’ve led primary research at an investment research platform used by the majority of the top hedge funds in the United States. I cover over 500 equities across tech, media, telecom, consumer, retail, payments and solar.
I started this server to give retail investors a glimpse of the institutional investment process; how they source ideas and what inputs they leverage for investment intelligence.
So while there are many discord “analysts” out there, they are all full of shit… none of them are the real deal.
I’m a fundamentalist at heart (as my day job revolves around doing channel checks), but have developed unique technical analysis skills (subset pattern analysis) over the years.
I combine my knowledge of FA + TA in my trading strategy to find undervalued stocks poised for growth. My investment horizon varies – I have a mix of short-term swings & long-term holds built into my portfolio, and I’m always looking to optimize risk/reward.
@ADHD: I am joining LSV as a @Shotcaller. I started my trading journey over 10 years ago but started becoming serious with trading back in 2015. My experience is in day trading equities and scalping. I use a combination of both technical & fundamental analysis but mainly keep my trading style extremely simple. When day trading equities I primarily eye ball support, resistance and sometimes use indicators. (I rarely use indicators and if I do its VWAP and 200 EMA) My goal is to help others learn and looking forward to making $$$ with you all.
@Baraxton: I’m Nick and I formerly managed a boutique hedge fund in Toronto. I’ve been actively investing for over 20 years and primarily focus on the use of option strategies to create asymmetries of risk, while managing risk so as to deter emotions from entering into the equation. Not to toot my own horn, but I’m probably one of the most knowledgable option traders you’ll come across given my breadth of experience in using them, so feel free to ask me any questions related to options and I’ll be happy to respond when I have the time.
When I’m not looking at charts and moving numbers around on a screen, I’m usually reading books (both fiction and non), hiking/running/lifting, playing piano, or hanging out with my wife
